CT: Regulators exploring TOU rates for EVs

Connecticut regulators have launched a proceeding to explore how electric rate structures can be designed to better accommodate electric vehicles. Pursuant to Public Act 16-135, An Act Concerning Electric and Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles, the Public Utilities Regulatory Authority has opened a docket to consider and determine whether it is appropriate to implement EV time-of-day rates for residential and commercial customers. Public Act 16-135 requires this process to be public.

The intervention deadline is August 24.
