Veteran Policy Analyst Joins EQ Research
CARY, NC – JULY 8, 2019 – EQ Research, the national energy consulting firm known for Policy Vista™, an online platform tracking and analyzing regulatory proposals, state legislation and general rate cases, announced today the addition of Charlie Coggeshall as a Senior Policy Analyst.
Charlie’s renewable energy policy and regulatory expertise includes more than ten years of experience in the public, private and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining EQ Research, Charlie was a consultant for the Coalition for Community Solar Access, and was instrumental in driving the design and implementation of Oregon’s community solar program. His expertise in community solar was established over three years as a senior policy analyst with Clean Energy Collective (CEC), where he led the company’s participation in regulatory design efforts for a diverse range of community solar markets across the country. Prior to CEC, Charlie was a Renewable Energy Manager at the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy, engaging in regulatory and legislative processes relating to net metering, integrated resource plans, solar valuation, and green power and tariff programs throughout the Southeastern United States.
Charlie’s foundation in renewable energy was established through working with the U.S. Department of Energy and National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), where he co-authored several NREL technical reports and served as a lead coordinator, researcher, and editor of landmark initiatives such as the Sunshot Vision Study and Rooftop Solar Challenge. Charlie holds a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Environmental Policy from the University of Denver.
