MA: Emergency net metering regulations adopted

The Massachusetts Department of Public Utilities has adopted emergency regulations (Docket 14-104) to amend its net metering regulations, pursuant to legislation enacted in August 2014 (Chapter 251 of the Acts of 2014). Under the new regulations, the aggregate net metering cap for public facilities is now limited to 5% of a distribution company’s historical peak load, and the aggregate cap for other facilities is limited to 4% of historical peak load. The DPU will accept written comments on the regulations through December 12, 2014.
