MN: 2016 solar incentive levels published

Minnesota’s Department of Commerce has announced the 2016 “Made in Minnesota” solar PV incentive levels. The 2016 levels are:

  • Commercial systems < 40 kW:  $0.13/kWh to $0.23/kWh
  • Tax-exempt, non-profit and government systems < 40 kW:  $0.15/kWh to $0.25/kWh
  • Residential systems < 10 kW:  $0.23/kWh to $0.30/kWh

The incentive levels, which vary by manufacturer, are payable over 10 years. The DOC will accept applications annually through 2023, from January 1 to February 28. A total of $15 million is available annually. Awards are determined by lottery.
