NV: Utilities propose higher solar incentive levels

Nevada Power Company (NPC) and Sierra Pacific Power Company (SPPC) have filed annual plans for the Solar Energy Systems Incentive Program, the Wind Energy Systems Demonstration Program, and the Waterpower Energy Systems Demonstration Program for July 1, 2017, through June 30, 2018. The utilities are seeking approval from the Public Utilities Commission of Nevada (PUCN) for the proposed budgets and incentive levels for 2017-18, with a total budget is $1.47 million. Almost all of that sum ($1.43 million) would be allocated to the Solar Energy Systems Incentive Program.

Notably, NPC and SPPC have proposed raising the levels of the incentives available under the Solar Energy Systems Incentive Program.
